Towervision Slides have a unique format but once you understand the few out-of-bounds areas they are easy to create. The first area is over-scan. There is a border around the slide that must be filled but, because of video technical standards, will not be displayed. Background can extend into the over-scan area, or a black border can be left around the slide. In either case the data left in this space will not be displayed. The Adobe templates at right have this border as a separate layer that you can use as a mask. The second item is the TowerVision video frame itself. Any art left in this area will be "cut out" in order to insert the full-motion video content. Although the NTSC video standard used is 720x480, higher resolution artwork is desirable as the video editor does a better job of down-sampling graphics for video output. The Photoshop template has a resolution of 2667x1500 (for an aspect ratio of 16:9). |
